May 15, 2010 - Sorry, online ticket sales are
now closed as of midnight tonight. See you at the Tour
tomorrow.
-
April 18, 2010 - Each year the photography
work for the Tour starts in March and April when we prepare the
photos for the online and print media promotion. Then the part
we have the most fun with -- the vignettes of each house drawn from
these photos to enliven the front page of this website... The
new photos are on display now... representing one of the widest
ranges of styles and eras we've ever featured on the Tour.
-
April 14, 2010 - Tickets are now on sale both
on line and at local merchants. The weather is turning nice...
take your stroll to
one of our
bricks-and-mortar ticket sellers and pick up your tickets now.
-
February 9, 2010 - We beat our time from last
year with photos for the
2009 Tour
posted on line today. We didn't forget the
Index of Homes
either... it's updated as well.
-
May 17, 2009 - The 2009 Home Tour is history, and this is the time
we take down the on-line sales information. If you've signed
up for our email notices, you'll be notified when tickets go on sale
in 2010.
-
May 11, 2009 - As a service to the Irvington community we've added a
Resource Guide to
this website. The modest fees each business pays to be in the
Guide further help offset our administrative costs and augment the
funds we can allocate to the ICA
Charitable Giving
Program. What's not to like?
-
May 5, 2009 - At long last we've updated the information on
Charitable Giving by the ICA. The Home Tour is the only source
of funds used by the ICA for its Charitable Giving Program.
Here's how the funds
have been spent each year since 2002. We promise to try to
better from here on out in keeping this information up to date.
-
February 16, 2009 - We're into a pattern now... just one year ago
today we posted the 2007 Tour photos on line. Today we're
posting the
2008 Tour photos. We like consistency! That means
the Index of Homes is
updated too. Happy browsing!
-
September 11, 2008 - One of Portland's most historic homes is the Doernbecher House on Tillamook Street in Irvington. It's on
the National Register of Historic Places and is described in the
portion of this site devoted to the National Register listed
properties in Irvington. After being on the Register for many
years without an attribution to an architect, it has been discovered
by neighborhood researchers that the house was designed by noted
Portland architect Joseph Jacobberger. As of today, the
Doernbecher House listing on this site has been corrected to reflect
that.
-
May 20, 2008 - No more on-line ticket sales until 2009. But
you can now sign up to put your name on our email list to be
notified of major changes to the site.
-
March 30, 2008 - Look around you here on this site... You can see
our new colors and graphics. The Committee really liked the
great graphics provided by our talented neighbor Hether Dunn.
Also, it's that time of year -- on-line ticket purchase is now
available.
-
February 17, 2008 - For those of you wondering about how to achieve
the vintage look of many of the kitchens pictured in this site,
we've added a link to our
Useful Links page to an article by noted bungalow expert Jane
Powell, that has tons of practical advise.
-
February 16, 2008 -- It's been quite a while since we updated the
site, but we hope you'll think the wait was worth it! The
2007 Tour
homes are now on display in the virtual tour. Also, we've
updated the Index of
Homes covered by photo essays. Also updates to
lodging page. Enjoy!
